9 Month Check Up and Stuff!

We had one of those night last nights.  You know the kind where you are sure your eyes didn't close for more than 10 minutes.  It started out with Kyler and his ears and ended with Hudson and a night in the chair/couch.  He was not about to let me lay him down and every time I did he SCREAMED!  This child has some serious lungs! 

 
So it worked out perfect that this morning we were scheduled for Hudson's 9 month check up!  Okay, so long story short...we have two boys with ear infections!  This is nothing new for Kyler and I am hoping it is just a random one for Hudson!  It has been fun times around the Meccage house today! 

What did we learn today at the Dr. (besides that we all have ear infections)?

• Hudson is a BIG boy!!
• He weighs 22 pounds - 90% and is 30.5 inches tall - 98%
• He is getting his top two teeth!
• He is HATING any kind of food with texture or chunks!  Any moms out there with advice on that one let me know! 

I guess that about sums up our day!

Pool Time!

Sundays are the BEST!  It is the only day of the week that Justin has a "short day."  I take the kids to church which Kyler is loving.  It's a great opportunity for him to be away from me for awhile and to play with some kids his age!  After church, I take Kyler to the baseball field for a "lunch date" with Daddy!  Kyler absolutely LOVES this time with Justin!  He tells me the whole way to the field, "Mom, you drop Kyler off and then you go home!" Ha!  He makes me laugh!  Enjoy some pictures from the pool this afternoon!

Hudson is 9 months old!

So, as I write this I can hardly believe my sweet Hud is 9 months old!  It truly feels like yesterday that I was leaving the hospital with this little guy.  I am absolutely LOVING this age. It's so funny, I have done this once and yet this time with Hudson it is totally different.  The greatest thing about all of this is that I get to spend all day with him, so I don't have that feeling that I am missing out!  What a blessing!

What is Hudson up to?

• He is a MOVER!  He is trying so hard to crawl and is so close!  I feel like it is going to happen any minute.  He is definitely able to pull, scoot, and roll to get to where he needs to go!

• He has two teeth on the bottom.
• He is still eating stage 2 foods but is ready to move up to stage 3.  
• He is saying Mama and Dada...and doing LOTS of screaming!
• He is waving!

• He seems to be getting attached to his little blankee.  We will have to see if likes it as much as Kyler likes his "T"!
• He is still loving the paci and usually has one in his mouth and one in his hand. 

This just makes to laugh!

• He has started riding in the push car when we go on walks and he thinks he is so big!
• We have been to play group a couple of times.  When the kids get too close to him he starts crying.  Poor little guy...he's has spent A LOT of time with momma!
• 9 month check up is coming soon....I will update his stats then.  I always love to see how big he is! My arms tell me he has put on a few pounds!

As you can see by these pictures, his hair is getting REALLY long!  I love it, so we are just going to go with it for a while!

Mother's Day

 What a blessing it is to be the mom of these two little guys!  They bring so much joy to our lives!  Today we spent the day at the beach and had a great dinner together.  Kyler told me several time..."Thanks for everything, Mom and Happy Momma's Day!"  He is so sweet!

Easter and Stuff...

It has definitely been way too long since I updated the blog.  We had a great time with my mom and crew when they came to visit us for Easter.  It never fails...time goes way too fast and no matter how long they stay it never seems like long enough!  We packed the days full of lots of fun things like the beach, yummy restaurants, outlets, aquarium, and Busch Gardens.

 The Easter bunny was good to the boys.  Hudson got a bath chair which will hopefully make bathtime a little easier!  And Kyler got his very own shave kit!  He is loving getting to shave just like Dad!

Lot of goodies!

 We ate at a great restaurant right on the water when my family was here.  The best part was getting to enjoy a walk on the beach when we were done!
