Father's Day Fun and the SPIKES!

This post is a week late but I am thinking better late than never!  We had a great Father's Day.  As you know, we are in State College for Justin's summer season and opening day was on Father's Day.  Since most of his games are in the evening, he has the mornings at home with us!  It is really nice to have him around.  We are living in this great little cabin right on a creek.  It is literally about 20 feet from our deck and it is really pretty.  Kyler LOVES to go down by the water and throw rocks.  So after we had Father's Day breakfast, we came home and spent some time by the water.

Ever since we went exploring with Cousin Bryce, Kyler has been obsessed with his "nut" as he calls it!

Later that evening we went to the Spikes game.  The atmosphere was AWESOME!  There were lots of fans and the park was very kid friendly.  The boys had a great time!

Hudson is 10 Months old!

What has the Meccage family been up to lately? 

Well, we have arrived in State College for our summer full of baseball!  We are living in a cabin on an awesome stream!  It reminds me a lot of Montana and that makes my heart happy.  I was very excited to get out of Florida for the HOT summer!  So, how does one get to State college.  Let me give you a brief description of how things went...

18 hour car ride

2 kids

1 dog

Little Einsteins,  lots of books, lots of snacks

9 states in 2 days

MASSIVE blow out diaper

Memories that will last a lifetime :)

To be honest, it wasn't that bad.  We have been blessed with kids that travel remarkably well so that is great!  Kids that travel well or not, I was definitely ready to be out of the car!

Okay, now on to Hud!  Another month down, before you know if we will be celebrating his first birthday!  That makes me tear up just thinking about it!

What is Hudson up to lately?

• He is crawling all over the place, pulling up, and standing. Yes, I know what is about to happen!  Chasing a crawler is hard work! Ha!

• He survived his 2nd long car ride in 10 short months.
• He loves to play with his lion and chasing balls!

• He is still refusing to eat anything with chunks...I am just going with it.  Lets hope he doesn't start kindergarten needing his food pureed!
• He loves his blankee and his paci...still!

• He has two bottom teeth and seems like he has been working on the top ones FOREVER but they haven't popped through yet!
• He loves to watch everything Kyler does.  This can be good or bad:)!

• He has the sweetest smile! 
• His hair is still SUPER long and we really need to get it cut.  I was just going with that as well but he has been mistaken for a girl two times in the last week... Apparently these people aren't looking at his outfits very closely!

• He loves to give kisses and we LOVE it too!

So you think you can dance...

Our community has an event the first Friday of every month where there is live music and several vendors on mainstreet. Kyler loves to go and dance and play the games. Here is a video Justin took with his phone. It was hilarious. It started with a group of about five girls mimicking Kyler's dance moves and before we knew it the whole crowd had joined in! Kyler was LOVING it. The video quality isn't great but you will get the idea! Enjoy!
